헨델의 오라토리오 메시아 전곡 / 제 1부 - 예언과 탄생 음악의 어머니 헨델이 어떠한 처세술로 살았던지 간에 그의 오라토리오 메시아는 모차르트의 레퀴엠과 더불어 종교와 시대를 초월하여 사람들에게 큰 감명을 주고 인기를 누리고 있는 것 같다. 무엇보다 재미있는 것은 메시아의 경우 아무리 아마추어 합창단이 이런 저런 실수를 하여 부른다 할지라도 제 2부의 끝판에 나오는 할렐루야 합창만 잘 부르면 전반적으로 다 잘 부른 것 같은 착각을 가져다 주는 마법을 지니고 있는 것 같다. 물론 그 이후로도 제 3부가 있지만 생략되는 경우가 많고 제 3부를 연이어 한다할지라도 할레루야의 감동이 부르는 사람이나 듣는 사람 모두에게 이어지기 때문에 그야말로 해피엔딩으로 끝날 수 있는 곡이다. 제 1부 - 예언과 탄생 1. 서곡(sinfonia) (Grave-Allegro moderato) 2.
